知人のＭさんからご依頼の大きな作業台（２４００×９００）。
全体のサイズ以外の細かな仕様は、任せてもらった。
シンプルで長く使える、頼れる作業台を作ろうと考え、４本脚に。
できてしまうと何てことないが、この大きさでの４本脚はちょっと悩んだ。
強度をだすためには、幕板（天板から幕状に垂れ下がった部材）の高さが重要になってきます。
単純に高さを大きくしては、見た目は無駄にゴツくなるし、座ったときに窮屈に感じてしまう。
そこで厚さを通常より厚い４５ｍｍとし、強度の出せる限界の高さを５５ｍｍと判断した。
通常の幕板の厚さを３０ｍｍ位と考えると、高さは７０ｍｍ位にはしたくなる。
この１５ｍｍはかなりデカイ。
おかげでしっかりしているけど、全体の印象をスッキリしたものにできた。
あとは部屋の雰囲気に合うかどうか。
納品が楽しみだ。
